    ThE  eNSlaVeD MiNd

Lying on the carpet floor
with aCid on my breath,
I speak of Angels at HeaveNs door
and the irony of LiFe and DeaTH.

You've CuT out my heart
with no remorse;
GuILty, stumbLing in the dark,
are the vices that make THiS worse.

CraYoN paTTernS on the WalL
teLL of my InSaNiTy,
TWItchinG, burning, tears start to fall
on the mosaic of inQUiTY.

YOU say you CaRe but I think not,
kEEp bLAmiNg me for what you FoRgoT.

I was never a child
it just wasn't mEaNt to be.
Mistaken identity looks like pride
and momentarily you DeSPisE the tHiNg that Is mE.

At LaSt something in common have T fOuNd,
Besides the AnnOYAnCe, Besides the PaIn,
We both HaTe me
AnD iT's InSAnE.
Okay, so this may be a bit childish because I wrote this a long time ago.

Back when I was obsessed with the popular manga Gravitation. I was thinking about the character Ryuichi and why he was so insane and child-like for a 34 year old.

Again, cue the story-teller in me, I made up a history of all sorts of stuff for him.
Plus, I can kinda relate to this poem, if you ask anyone that knows me, they might tell you that this would be the end result for a major heartache in my life.

Tell me what you think. Ja!

That was very in-your-face, and yet did very well to deal with Ryuichi's uh, "sensitive" mindset that was adopted during this poem.

I love the telling of it, and how no one was quite sure, even at the end, who it was exactly that he was speaking to.

I'm afraid if the capitalizations had any meaning I wasn't able to catch them. They did make the poem look very spiffy, however. =)
